How it works

    Sign in

    The Codex desktop app signs in with a ChatGPT account. Its auth file holds the access token and account ID.

  2. 02

    One request

    We send your query to chatgpt.com/backend-api/codex/alpha/search. That is the internal endpoint behind ChatGPT search.

  3. 03

    The results

    Back comes an ordered list: URLs, titles, domains, snippets and result types. Often also the last crawl date. We send you what it says about your site.

This is an undocumented endpoint tied to a ChatGPT account. It can change or stop at any time.
